ElmSoft was formed in 1988. Our first product
was called Romware,
an indexing and database development system for the nascent
CD-ROM industry. It was widely regarded as the fastest indexer
on the market.
Since 1994, we have developed custom applications for Adobe
FrameMaker®.
In 1997, we released FrameScript®,
the scripting language for Adobe FrameMaker®. This allowed
FrameMaker users to automate many of their common functions and
to develop applications using FrameMaker as the engine.
